A terrified golden retriever’s reaction after hearing former president Trump say “dog was eaten” while arguing during an interview that Haitian immigrants in Ohio were abducting and eating pets has gone viral.
On Tuesday night the United States presidential candidates former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris faced off in Philadelphia during their first head-to-head, hosted by ABC News.

During the debate, Trump specifically mentioned Springfield, Ohio, the town at the center of the claims, claiming that undocumented immigrants were killing and eating pets in the U.S.
In a clip, a dog owner was watching the debate with her Golden Retriever seen lying on a sofa. The moment took a turn when Trump mentioned “dog was eaten.”
“My dog was taken and used for food,” Trump claimed… “But the people on television said their dog was eaten by the people that went there.”
Trump’s statement seemingly terrified the Golden Retriever causing it to leap off the sofa and hide behind the furniture.
